Swedish Bank Holiday Party (January 1946)

We notice a business, a Stockholm bank, hosting some kind of holiday party for the families of its employees. We might have thought it was a Christmas party because there is a big spruce and Santa and presents were involved, but it was dated January 22, 1946. We don't quite understand why Santa made his appearance so late. A caption provides some information. That translates as something like -- The children of the employees of Stockholme stade sparbank had been invited to a party at the savings bank's headquarters at Fredsgatan on Sunday. Nearly 50 children aged 2 to 15, together with their parents, who could rejoice in the completion of the financial statements, for this time, happily over the years, delighted in the love of the heart with, inter alia, dance around a big spruce, set in the middle of the big banquet hall, cholladrick and nice cartoon movies. A visit to the Santa Claus was also greatly appreciated. It was the savings bank's sports association that had arranged it successful. party.
