Illustrators: Georgina Hargreaves (England, 19??- )

Figure 1.-- the Johnstone sisters illustrated the first edition of the The Enchanted Wood, but

Georgina Hargreaves did the next four in that series, gift books by Dean and Son. This is one of her covers.

Georgina Hargreaves is a wonderful contemporary English illustrator. We have only limited information on her at this time, but we have noted some charming illustrations. As a contemporary illustrator, her illustrations show English in modern clothing. She has worked on Enid Blydton books. One beutifully done book illustration was Adventures of the Wishing Chair. We had thought that she allso illustrated The Enchanted Wood (1988 reprint). Georgina tells us, however, that the Johnstone sisters illustrated The Enchanted Wood, but did the next four in that series, gift books by Dean and Son. She also illustrated The Little Witch Dog and The Green Elf.
