Wayne Curtis (United States, about 1905)

Here we see Wayne Curtis dressed in what looks like a sailor tunic in a great early pedal car. The pedal car is done as an early autimobilke. The word “Moon” can be seen painted on the side. I'm not sure what that meant. I'm not sure about the color of the pedal car, but might guess that itwas red. I'm also not sure what color the tunic suit may have been. Wayne wears his tunic suit with a flat cap. This was a very popular cap at the time, but often boys wearing tunic suits wore different headwear. He also looks to be wearing black long stockings. On the back, the boy is identified as Wayne Curtis and there is a hand stamp that says “Nelson’s Studio, Brainerd, Minn.” So we know where Wayne was from. The postcard portrait is undated, but we would estimate was taken about 1905.
