We notice many boys wearing tank-tops, T-shirts, and sweat shorts. We also note lots of clothes with sports logo. Of course the Italian football team gear was very popular during 2006 when Italy won the World Cup. Here we ee a boy in Rome with Italian team gear. The long-baggy shorts that became popular in the late-1900s continue popular in the 2000s. Smeakers were very popular. We also notice flip-flops.

The 2000s

We do not have a lot of informaton on Italian boys' clothes in the 200s. The inforation we have found shoiw popular casual sdtyles. Italian boys clothes in the 2000s was generally very casual. This has been the general trend in Europe and North merica, but it seems particularly advanced in Italy, perhaps because of the warm climate. The photo was taken in Altamura, a town of about 70,000 inhabitants in southern Italy. These boys are Italians. Probably they have the American flag for the final match of the FIFA Confederation Cup that, took place in those days. (Football/soccer is very popular in Italy.) Since 1970s, sneakers became very popular among boys. In these years, however, many boys in summer prefer to wear sandals and also flip-flops. Flip-flops are no more seen only as a beachwear. You can see boys wearing flip-flops everywhere, also in quite formal occasion, as the Sunday Mass.
