Another popular activity for children was going to the movies which for children was normally on the weekend. For American kids the time to attend movies is Saturday afternoon. Here Stockholm children during the 1950s are lining up to see an American Western on Sunday (Sondag). I can't make out the title which would help us date the image. Notice the different cap styles and how the childre are wearing their stocking caps American children did not as commonly go to the movies on Sunday as so many attend Church and are egaged in Church activities. Mny American parents did not think it quite appropriate to go to the movies on Sunday. Here the children are going to see an Americam film, but Sweden has an important film industry of its own.
