New Zealand state schools are secular in nature and there is no religious instruction in these schools. Although there does not see to be a problem with saying non-denominational prayers to open school assemblies. Many private schools have religious affiliations. Many of the prep schools and private colleges have afiliations with the Anglican church. The Catholic schools have been integrated into the state system. These integrated schools are permitted to retain their traditional chrcter and religious affiliations even after integration. Missions

Forms 2B and 1G raised money for missions by doing car washes, sausage sizzles, hamburger stalls and raffles. We chose groups by first nominating leaders and then the leaders choose their teams. Each group has a secretary that records the points and money for his group. Each group has a name chosen from the Bible. The money that we raise is sent to places like Papua New Guinea, "Raphael" in India and an organization called Caritas. Local organizations like "Child Cancer" are also supported. Our group from 2B, :The Shadows", broke the record for money this year with $224.

Christian Fellowship

Christian fellowship this year has seen many sporting greats such as Va'Inga Tuigamala, Tu Nu'ualiitia and Apollo Perelini. They shared with us the great challenges they've been through as Christians. Christian fellowship also has many exciting guests such as Lew Myers and the Life way Ministeries. The highlight of the year has been the many new faces seen at the fellowship meetings. This year we have all faced challenges and been blessed. Until next year keep praying and reading the bible.
