British Preparatory Schools E-Book: Contributions

Figure 1.--These boys are involved in a outdoor science exercize during the Summer term. Science is not always a popular subject, but their teacher had a nack for coming up with learning exercizes the children found fascinating..

Apertutres Press welcomes contributions from Britain on our schools book. We were able to visit only some of thev preparatory schools in Britain. We did visit over 100 schools covering a wide cross section of the schools. That, however, only scratches the surface. If you would like to contribute material about your school or your school experience, we incourage you to do so. Contrubutions can be photographs, drawings, essays, or just little written snipets--what ever you may care to contribute.

Photographs

Apertures Press already has an extensive collection of photographs on British preparatory schools. We welcome, however, any photographs you may wish to contribute. We are especially interested in historic photographs. Most of our photographs were taken in the 1980s and early 90s. We would like to add some older photographs to illustrate the historical section of the book. We also would be interested in photographs from schools that we have not visited. Another topic we would like to add or special events such as ANZAC day or calf day in rural schools. These are photographs we would especially like to acquire, but if you have a photograph on some other aspect of British preparatory schools, feel free to send it along, we can probably find a spot for it in our E-Book.

Drawings

We are including some representative drawings on school themes from students. This does not mean just the sophisticated art work of the senior students. We are including drawings to illustrate representative work from all academic levels from pre-prep to Form VI.

School Essays

We are interested in short essays you may choose to write about your school experience. This does not mean just current students. We are also intersted in eperiences our older readers can recall about their school days. In addition, we would love to hear some of the experiences teachers can recount. These should be fairly short 1 or 2 page accounts.

Written Snipets

We are oncluding short snipets from the children's work as well as quotes from our conservations as we visited. Some schools have provided poems which are often quite charming. If you have any short snipets to send along, we would love to hear from you.
