Quite a number of personal accounts exist on the Depression. This includes accounts of individuals with children as well as adults looking back on their childhood. The accounts of course do not deal with the Depression in a macro sence of causes and punlic policy. They do graphically describe what the Depression meant in real terms to actual people and are very valuable social documents. We have just begun this section and would appreciate references to any of these books HBC readers have noted. Often these accounts also include references to clothing.
