We note school smocks offered by Les Galeries Lafayette in 1956-57. Hre we see two girls' smocks and a boys' smock. The boys' smock ( tablier ) is size 45 to 65 cm. That is the heighth of the garment. That would be for a boy 3-8 years old. I'm not sure about the conventions involved. I think that these were primarily school smocks. But note that the sizes begin for pre-school sizes. boys. They could be for home wear or it could be for pre-school. Perhaps the smocks were for both.
