Mail order catalogs and advertisements show major changes in Scottish boys clothes during the 1910s. Several important fashion trends are notable, basically following English fashions--with the exception of the kikt. We notice a range of popular styles offered by Dallas' in Glasgow during 1915.
The Edinburg kilt maker, John Adair, advertised a complete range of Highland kilt items in 1910.
We notice Dallas' catalog. The catalog offered a complete line of children's clothes. Dallas' was a Glasgow department store located in Milton House, but we do not know very much about it. The ad copy stressed value. We notice infants outfits little boy suits, shirts, hosiery, sleepwear, and underwear. Many of the little boy suits are made to size 7 years. There is also a range of school-age boys suits beginning at about age 8. This is a useful page because the names of the suits are clearly labeled.
