Forest Mills Underwear (1923)

Figure 1.--Here we see an ad for Forest Mills Underwear. The ad emphasizes the company's product line for the entire family. We know that it appeared in 1923. Forest Mills was a brand name for the Brown Durrel Company. This is not a company which we know anything about at this time.

Here we see an ad for Forest Mills Underwear. The ad emphasizes the company's product line for the entire family. I'm not sure what magazine carried the advertisement. We do know that it appeared in 1923. Forest Mills was a brand name for the Brown Durrel Company. This is not a company which we know anything about at this time. Notice that in the illustration here that at least one of the union suits is a "waist union suit." You can just make out the reinforcement straps over the shoulders. This means that the girl--and perhaps the boy--has waist buttons for the attachment of outer clothing and tabs for attaching hose supporters.
