We have limited information about headwear. Many of the photographs of Prince Wilhelm ans his brothers show them without caps and hats. A few images do show them with headwear. The most common is sailor caps. As younger bous they also wore wide brimmed sailor hats, but not as commonly as caps. Sailor caps were commonly worn with sailor suits, tunivs suits, and a varietuy of other outfits. During the winter we have seen them wearing knit stocking caps. Such caps were only worn for play in cold weather.
We have limited information about headwear. Many of the photographs of Prince Wilhelm ans his brothers show them without caps and hats. A few images do show them with headwear. Perhaps this is bdecause there are many indoors image. Weaing caps and hats was still quite common in the 1900s and 1010s.
We notice Prince Wilhelm wearing several different types of headwear.
We only notice Wihelm and his brother wearing tams as infants or very young toddlers. As fae as we know, they did not wear tams as older boys.
We had thought that braod brimmed sailor hats were often worn with formal outfits. We know Wilhelm wearing them with casual play clothes. Perhaps this convention was a bit different for royalty.
During the winter we have seen them wearing knit stocking caps. Such caps were only worn for play in cold weather. The ones we have noted are less elongated and have smaller and less colorful poms than the ones worn by Scandinavian boys.
