We have found some dance images, but we can not yet identify the movie involved. Hopefully our readers will be able to identify the film. Somne will be easier than others to identify. If we can identify the actors it is usually fairly easy to figure out the movie. This is especially true of American films. We know much less about foreign films.
Here is Fred Astaire in one of his film roles (figure 1). It looks like the late-1930s to us, but we don't know the name of the film. This one I think we will be able to fifure out. Usually the Astaire and Kelly films like the instance here use the children more as props than dance partners.
A reader comments, "I'm not sure that picture is from a movie at all. I think it's a publicity
photo of Fred Astaire with his son Fred Asaire, Jr., time frame early 1940s. If you live near a good library, you might want to try to find the Aug 25 1941 issue of Life Magazine, which has a similar but different picture of Astaire Sr. and Jr. on the front cover." We think our reader may be correct here. This looks more like a photograph taken by a skilled photographer than a scene from a movie.
