A HBC reader has noted a performance of the POlish Nightingales on Polish television during 2001. The Choir was costumed in their trade-mark uniform with burgandy jackets, a fancy blouse with a front ruffle, rust-colored knickers and white kneesocks. It is a 18th century style costume. I'm not sure wehat the actual origins of the uniform were. Hopefully one of our Polish readers will provide us some information about the choir. We have noted this uniform being worn on other occassins so it was not just or this television appearance.
