The school has been able to enter a Girls’ rowing eight in the Secondary Schools’ Competitions this year. This dedicated group of students has practised hard on the Clive River, under their coach Mr Gary Anderson. This dedication paid off, when they came home from the North Island Secondary Schools’ Competitions with a Gold Medal for winning the Under 17 Novice Eight. The crew consisted of Sarah Campbell, Tara Anderson, Sarah Trigg, Alesha Blinkhorne, Holly Tylee-MacLean, Diana Gyde, Philippa Parry, Joanna Taylor and Amy Miller (cox). This is the first time in the school’s history that a first placing has been achieved in the championship - congratulations!
