New Zealand School Hosiery: Boys Kneesocks--Colored Tops

This option was not as common as the first option with the barrow bands. These kneesocks with the entire top done in color are always grey kneesocks.

Other Garments

The colors commonly were repeated in the tie, blazer, and sweater trim. They also used to be repeated in the school cap, but caps by the 1980s had been discontinued at most schools.

Base Color

New Zeland schools have different colored kneesocks. The bost common for these colored-top kneesocks were grey. Black socks were also done with colored top, but this was less common.
