I am not sure what deparment the journalism classes fit, but we would guess the English Department. This is an elective (optional) course offered in secondary schools. Often the journalism class is involved in school activities like the newspaper or yearbook.
1996's 6th Form Journalism class was comprised of a colourful mix of people. There were 'freshies', a punk rocker, a softballer, a couple of nerds, a guy with some very bad hair styles and an often absent minded teacher. Despite this motley collection of individuals the team worked well. After a few desertions at the beginning of the year , the boys pulled together and produced the magnificent creation which you hold before you in your hands. As well as working on the magazine the class were instructed in the finer details of Journalism under the expert guidance of Mr Bright, who proved himself to be a pretty funky and hip teacher, cracking some pretty entertaining (although not always P.C) jokes. ....
