Class Forms: Form II

Figure 1.--Form II is part of the junior or lower school at most prep schools. At many schools it is the first year outside of the pre-prep. The children would be about 8 years old.

The Lazy Boy

Once there was a boy named Tim. He was aazy boy both at home and in school. Every year when the exams came he usually came last. His father was a farmer. When he was asked to help on the farmTim said, "Oh! dad, do I really have to help you?' His father replied, "Yes, son, the work will do you good instead of just sitting there doing nothing." In the summer he used to lie on top of the haystack and sleep. In the winter he went toboganning with his friend. Of course his friend had to pull up the sledge! It was quite surprising that Tim had any friends. Tim always asked his mother to get his clothes, tie his shoe laces and tidy hs room. When Tim was older he wanted to be a train driver but they did not want to take him because he was not clever enough. So Tim went away regretting that he had been so lazy!

Looking Back

At the beginning of the term it was very cold and it seemed to rain a lot, but one day it was sunny, so we went outside and learnt about pond life.
