Boys' Historical Clothing: New Pages--January 2025

Figure 1.--The British Royal Family was German. At mid-19th century, Germany was on the precipice of unification. The only matter to be decided was wether it would be Prussia or Germany that would unify Germany. Prince Albert and Queen Victoria married their precious daughter, the Princess Royal Victoria to to the heir to the Prussian throne. Here we see Friedrich and Victoria with their children (1865). Friderich and Victoria were individuals of a liberal mind. They could have led Germany into a liberal, democratic future. Tragically for Europe after assuming the Imperial Crown (1888), Frierish died of cancer in only a matter of months. Friederich and Vicoria failed to pass on their liberal outlook to their eldest son Prince Wilhelm. Chancellor Bismarck courted him and Prince Wilhelm became Kaiser Wilhelm II with a highly nationalistic outlook (1888). An without the prudence the Iron Chancellor displayed. The result would be World War I (1914-18). He would be followed by an even worse national leader with a mind contorted by the aftermath of Wilhelm failed war resutiung in World War II (1939-45).

Some HBC readers tell us that they would like to be able to access new pages, but do not want to receive E-mails on every new page added to HBC. We have also for several years now experienced problems dealing with AOL. Thus we have created this page for HBC readers. We will list new pages or existing pages to which we have added additional information. We used to maintain a page like this. We know from this experience that we sometimes forget to add a new page, but we will try to remember to do this as much as possible. There will not be a link on our home page so you will want to add this to your favorites/book marks. We plan to only make this page available to readers who support HBC. There may be occasional changes in the URL. Just let us know if you have any question about this HBC feature.
