We note images of the boys wearing flat caps when worgking with horses--at least the older boys. Unlike images showing all the boys dressed alike, images of the older boys in flat caps sometimes show the younger boys still wearing sailor caps. This may have been a style seen suitable for riding when for other occassiond the boys still wore sailor caps. This we are not sure about. A photograph after the Wars show them wearing flat caps with suits and not neceessarily for riding.
