L. 3-Way Sports Ensemble

The Macy's ad copy read, "3-Way Sports Ensemble; solid colored jacket; bib-front suspebder shorts; striped sports shirt. Wear it as an Eton suit, as a sunsuit, or as a shirt-and-shorts ensemble. Combinations of blue, green, or luggage tan. (Ship. wt. 1 lb.). C12L -- Sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 --- Set 1.83."

M. 3-Pc. White Linnen Suit

The Macy's ad copy read, "3-Pc. White Linnen Suit; sports-back jacket; belted shorts; broadcloth blouse in copen, wine, or white. (Ship. wt. 1/2 lb.). C12M -- Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6 --- Set 2.77." The more general meaning of a three-piece suit was a suit with a vest. But in fact additiinal pieces could be any item, in this case a blouse. Wehave also seen ties and caps used as additinal pieces.

N. Broadcloth Eton Shirt

The Macy's ad copy read, "Broadcloth Eton Shirt in blue or white. (Ship. wt. 1/2 lb.). C12N -- Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6 with long sleeves --- 94c. C12N1 -- Same sizes with short sleeves --- 94c."

P. 3 Pc. All-Wool Flannel

The Macy's ad copy read, "3 Pc. All-Wool Flannel, Eton suit with sports-back jacket, belted shots, and white broacloth blouse. Navy, gray, brown. C12P -- Sizes 3, 4, 5, 6 --- Set 3.59. "
