Les Petits Chanteurs d'Asnières: Chronology

Figure 1.-- Les Petits Chanteurs d'Asnières appears to have been photographed at an outdoor performance in 1969. The boys wear white military-like caps, white shirts, dark ties, probably blue short pants, white kneesocks, and black leather shoes.

We do not know specifically when this choir formed or just when it was active. One photograph is dated to 1970. Some indication is possible from assessing the hair styles and uniform styles shown in the images. Some of the long hair styles suggest the 1970s. In other images the shorter hair and trim cut shorts look rather like the late 1960s, but this is only a guess at this time. We do not know if the choir is currently active. We have not yet noted any recent photographs of the boys or have any information on how the uniform has changed. Even if the image was not dated, the longside burns, narrow ties, and the boys' still short hair would help date the photograpg to the 1960s. Other photographs from the 1970s show the chorosters wearing long hair styles, but the choir uniform was unchanged. In this 1969 photographbonly one older boy wars long hair. Other than the hair styles I do not note any changes in the boys' outfits. We do not knpw if the choir continued active in the 1990s.
