The ad copy reads, "Tiroler Anzug mit blauer Leinensacke, brauner Samt- oder Lederhose und weisses Leinenhemd fuer grossere Buben. [...] fuer 10-12, 12-14, 14-16 Jahre. Breslauer Hausfrau through the 1930s offered Tiroleranzugen (Alpine style outfits) for trips, especialy to the mountains. This was caused by the rising popularity of Alpine culture which helped to popularize Alpine fashion. The popularity in Germany of Alpine culture began in the second half of 19th century. That translates as, "Tiroler suit with blue linen jacket, brown velvet or leather trousers and white linen shirt for bigger boys. [... ] for 10-12, 12-14, 14-16 years. Needs approximately 75 cm velvet, 1m wide for the trousers; 1.75 m shirt cloth, 84 cm wide for the shirt; 2 m linen, 90 cm wide for the jacket." The advertisement in the magazine was for selling patterns and material rather than finished garments.
