Photo Essays: Uniforms Garments--School Sock Colors


Figure 1.-- There were quite a few possible color combinations, but with several hundered schools, some cominations or similar combinatiins were worn at several different schools. A few schools have very destinctive cominations that were not worn at any other school. The school here had particularly destinctive colors, magenta knee socks with brown tops. 

There were many different combinations. Some were more common than others. The grey socks were the most common and the school colors were normally done in the colors of the vlazer and tie. Shades of blue, red, and green were the most common. Some schools might add a mpre destinctive color like yellow. While most od the socks were various combinations along this line. This gives quite a few possible color cominations, but with several hundered different schools, some cominations or similar combinatiins were worn at several different schools. A few schools have very destinctive cominations that were not worn at any other school. The school here had particularly destinctive colors, magenta knee socks with brown tops (figure 1). No other school wore this comination.
