Crown Prince Rupprecht's Son Luitpold: Clothing--Light-colored Satin Knickers Suit Jacket

Figure 1.--The jacket for Luitpold's light-colored knickers suit had lapels. The lace collar was made to precisely fit over those lapels.

The jacket is made with an open collar and has large satin-covered buttons. The styling of the jackets are not always easy to make out because of the lace collars which cober the meck openings. Some of the jackets or tops of the outfits appaer to be rather simple garments without satin fabric collars and lapels. Some of the jaclets clearly had lapels and the lace collars were acrefully cut to precoisely fit over them. We do not see Luitpold and his brother wearing these ssatin jackets without the lace collars. We do not notice any pockets in the jackets. Some were worn with button-on styling.
