Some would wear some sort of loose fitting outer clothes, called "warmup gear" to wear till they are actually ready to compete. Quite a variety of warm-up gear is worn. In many cases garments from other sorts are adopted by the wrestlers. This includes the ubiqutous baseball cap, even though wrestling matches are always held indoors because mats are used. The baseball cap in the 1990s has become the headgear of choice for athletes in a wide range of sports, before and after competing. Sometimes the boys just wear their own caps. Other teams may have caps especially made for them in the school colors. A wide range of jackets are worn. In warmer weather "T" shirts are popular. In recent years very large "T" shirts have become popular.

A wide range of jackets are worn. Some teams made have uniform warm up jackets. Other boys may just wear a favorite jacket. These can be casual jackets that boys may as well wear to school
In warmer weather "T" shirts are popular. In recent years very large, over-sized "T" shirts have become popular. In some cases they completely cover their singlets. Boys wear a wide range of these "T"-shirts many with large logos with cartoon characters, rock bands, or sports teams.
A recent inovation is a specially made giant, one piece shirt and shorts combined. I'm not sure exactly how the boy gets into this, but perhaps the head opening is large enough for them to just step thru and pull up. I'm not sure how popoular this garment is proving t be.
