We notice a DJ boy wearing his round Sieg Rune (lighting bolt) patch with a colored diamond backing. It was a square turned on it points to form a diamond. We have seen very few examples of this. Thus we are not sure if it was a formal insignia or if a mother just added this on her own. I inclined to believe that this was a rank indicator, like a [patrol leader patch, but a reader tells us that this was not the case. I'm not sure what the color here was, butthe round circles came in different colors. I first thought it might be a bright color like red and green. But given the fact the rune patches were colored, I think now that the diamond backing was brown. We do not usually see the backing because the shirts were also brown. Apparently the boy's short here was a light brown or faded (figure 1).
