We are not entirely sure how to date the dresses the children wear. We just do not know enough about dress styling. Reader insights here would be most appreciated. The boy's bow suggests the 1880s to us, perhaps the early 80s. Although not a huge boe, it seems somewhat larger than what we have generally seen in the 1870s. The girl wears a two-tone dress, but we have no idea about the colors. There is a definitive waistline with rucking and the sleeves have bloucing at the shoulders.
