Russian sailor suit
Figure 1.-- Prince Igor Vadimovitch Repnine (1892-1970) was photographed at about the age of 5 or 6 about 1898. He wears a white sailor suit but with black long stockings. This boy was a Russian aristocrat. I am not entirely sure at this point as to just how he fits into the Russian royal family.

Prince Igor Vadimovitch Repnine (Russia, 1892-1970)

Prince Igor Vadimovitch Repnine (1892-1970) was photographed at about the age of 5 or 6 about 1898 in Kieff. I'm not sure where that is. Perhaps it is the Russian or Ukranian spelling of Kiev. Prince Igor wears a white sailor suit but with black long stockings. This boy was a Russian aristocrat. I am not entirely sure at this point as to just how he fits into the Russian royal family. A reader writes, "I think the title of Prince was somewhat loosely used in the Russian aristocracy. There is probably a distant connection to the family of the Tsar, but I doubt that he was immediate family." Prince Igor survived the Revolution (1917), we assume by escaping to the West.
