It is a useful image because it provides a good look at fashion for children of different ages and genders. The portrait is undated, but we would guess was taken in the 1890s. We are archiving it in the 90s, but the 80s is possible. If readers have any better assessment we can move it. The youngest boy weaes a sailor suut. The next youngest boy looks to wearing a jersey sweater. Three of the boys have small Eton collars with small bows. Two boys wear cut-away jackets, albeit with minimal cutaway area. The girls have light colored dresses. The younger girl wears a sailor dress without the stripe detaling. The studio was Owen in Southhampton.
