Here is a little story about taking a 6-year old shopping for clothes to wear at a birthday party he was attending. He knew what he wanted. He picked ankle socks with a dinosaur image on them. He looked at several racks of tee-shirts before selecting one with a fierce dinosaur motiff on it. He wanted the the same for the trousers. In the event we could not find trousers with dinosaur patterns. He then selected denim short trousers. He also found a pair of sun glasses which he bought because he thought they looked cool. We shopped in an inexpensive store so that after the party the clothes could become play clothes. When we arrived home he modelled the clothes for his mum to see his good taste. He did indeed look very smart and a cool 6 year old kid. I took a series of photographs throughout the shopping adventure. A reader asks, "I don't think I have ever seen footwear like those the boy is wearing. Are they dinosaur claws? Any idea how they are fastened?" Oh yes, we also bought dinosaur socks which he insisted on showing without his shoes here.
