Figure 1.-- The photo was taken in 1903 in Zemeno, a village about 40 kms north-west of Korinthos, Greece. Orthodox priests could marry and have families. It shows the village priest with his mother (or mother-in-law), his wife and their children. Notice that they are dressed in home sewn folk outfits, presumably because that was the standard dress at the time.
