Camp shorts continued popular in the 1979s. JC Penny offered Camp shorts in sizes 8-16. Blue and khaki were the most popular colors. The Penny's ad copy read, "NO-IRON, CAMP-STYLE SHORTS. Of woven polyester-and-cotton denim. Belt loops, half-elastic back. Fabric utility loop, metal clip for knife or whistle. 1 front zip pocket, 1 snap-flappatch pocket on side, 1 back patch pocket. Zipper fly. Hemmed bottoms. MW (machine wash, tumble dry). Colors: 37 navy blue; 56 khaki; 25 green. State color number and name. Regular and Slim Sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. State size......4.99 Husky Sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. State size.................5.49" Note the illustration indicates size 20 and not just 16.
