Lord Mayor's Boy Players: Vienna Choir Boys Visit (1935)

Figure 1.-- A London newspaper reported the Players entertaining the visting Vienna Boys Choir (1935). We have no details about the visit. We do not know if this was the first such visit or if the Players returned the visit. Nor do we know if the boys sang together. This was of course while Austria was still an independent country and before the NAZI Anchluss. The two boys here show the costumes worn by the two choirs.

The Vienna Choir Boys are noted for making trips where they performed in different countries. I don't think the Players traveled like this.
