Boys' Musical Costumes--Popular Music and Entertainment: The Mini Beats (Germany)

Figure 1.--The Mini Beats are four German boys from Baden-Würtembergwho dress up like the Beatles when they perform. The boys are Philip Lawall, Markus Attinger, Jonas Kenner and Andreas Schaupp. Of course they play the same instruments the Beattles played and do mostly Beatles music.

The Mini-Beats are an exception to the mostly American boys who dominate the popular music an entertainment area. They are four German boys from Baden-Würtembergwho dress up like the Beatles when they perform. The boys are Philip Lawall, Markus Attinger, Jonas Kenner and Andreas Schaupp. Of course they play the same instruments the Beattles played and do mostly Beatles music. With their Beattle-styled haircuts and outfits suits the boys are an intraguing reincarnation of the "Fab-Four" of the the 60s. As of 2001 they have issued 3 CDs, "Get Back", "Rock'n'Roll Music", and the CD single "Twist & Shout". When they are not performing they wear typical 2000s casual clotes like tie-dyed "T"-shirts and baggy jeans.
