Atril D. Taylor had his portrait taken in 1926. I have never heard the name Atril before. Atril was 3 years old, but must have been close to his 4th birthday. A HBC reader writes, "I have the impression that this charming little boy is probably older, at least 4 years old perhaps nearly 5 years old." He wears a short pants outfit with very long shorts and knee socks. We think his outfit is a button-on suit wih a self-belt. His shirt is the open-collar style so popular in the 1920s and 30s.
Notice that Atril is picured in play clothes. This is a major departure from 19h cenutry phoography when people dressed up in heir best clothes for portraits.
