The best known collarless shirts are "T"-shirts. They are best known as a style worn after World War II (1939-45), but HBC has noted "T"-shirt like in the 1930s. These were generally solid colored shirts. After World War II, brightly colored stripped "T"-shirts appeared. We have noted some with side "v"s, raher like Polo shirts. I do not recall this with American "T"-shirts in the 1940s-60s. Other than this they look very similar to the "T"-shirts worn by American boys. I'm not sure yet just whay age boy wore these "T"-shirts. Until th 1970, however, they appear to have neen an excluivly boys' style.
