School Uniform: Singapore--Activities


Figure 1.--Here we see a boy at a Singapore school winning the junior chess award. We do not know about the date, but believe it is the 1960s.

We have begun to acquire some information on activities at Singapore schools and the uniforms associated with the various activities. Here we at this time still have very little information as our Singapore archives is very limited. The activities we have noted seem strongly influenced by British school traditions. Here we see a very British prize giving ceremony. This boy has won the jinior chess award at his school.
