David was borm in 1947, of course in Los Angeles. David seems to have had a happy childhood. His dad appears to have been an eggaged father, perhaps in part because of his own deorived childhood. David reprtedly loved to dance and won selveral awards. I don't think that he put his dance skills to work in his filns. He apparently took an interest in his father's film career. We notice him wearing a Mountie uniform just like the one his father wore in "O'Rourke of the Royal Mounties" (1954).
