They are engaged to be married. There is a love child. Of course that is Davy. Unfortunately World War I intervenes and the aristocrat goes off to war. The movie aristocrat is wounded in battle and loses his memory. After the war he begins a new life and marries. There is a chance meeting with his former fiancé. His wife agrees to adapt the child. We believe that Alfred Hitchcock wrote the film's scenario. but are not sure.
