German Boys' Wedding Outfits: Chronology--The 1930s



Figure 1.--Here we see an outdoors portrait of a German wedding party in 1930. This looks to us like a middle class wedding. The boys' outfits suggest a family in confortable circumstances. They are not standard sailor suits, but ones brought edspecially for the wedding.

Here we see an outdoors portrait of a German wedding party in 1930. This looks to us like a middle class wedding. The boys' outfits suggest a family in confortable circumstances. They are not standard sailor suits, but ones brought edspecially for the wedding. We see a 1930 wedding with a flower girl and two boys wearing fancy sailor outfits and natty caps. The boy seem to be flower attendants rather than ring boys.
