Norman Rockwell's Book Illustrations

Figure 1.--Huck is pictures here with Aunt Polly. As in most drawings of the famous Twain character, he is usually depicted wearing long trousers--appropriate for the time and place in which the book is set.

Rockwell illustrated many books over the course of his career. Some are well known classics like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Others are lesser known works.

Huckleberry Finn

This set was printed by Fernand Mourlot in Paris and is based on paintings that were done for Heritage Press, George Macy Companies Inc., New York, for the publication of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn I believe in 1940.

Tom Sawyer

Painted in 1937, they were Lithographed in 1972, and published by Circle Art Galleries of Chicago.
