This portrait is of Howard Lowe, taken in Paterson, New Jersey, about 1921. Howard seems to have been William's younger brother, but we are not entirely sure. This is a confirmation photograph, notice the white flower in his button hole and psalm book. He wears a belted double-breasted dark suit with Norfolk styling. With it he wears a white shirt, white tie, and white detachable collar. His suit has matching above-the-knee knickers, long black stockings, and hightop black shoes. Howard also wears a white handkerchief in his breast pocket. The photo seems to have taken when Howard was about 14, the usual age for confirmation.
