??? Moon Fmily (United States, 1907)

Here are four members of the Moon family (Volney, Robert, Grace and Edith, two of which were identified on the photo) in a school picture from 1907, according to the information available. The family came from Lincoln, Oklahoma. Three children in the center are wearing closed-toe double t-strap sandals. This is another example of these sandals first appearing in rural areas. We note these sandals being sold in period catalogs. I'm not sure why some of the children wear sandals and others do not. The image is interesting because it is an early image of children wearing sandals. The jump suit worn with the square-cut collar by the boy at the left is also interesting. I'm not sure about the color. Also note thar even though it seems to be a warm day, the children wear long blacl stockings.
