Societal Trends and Boys Clothes


Figure 1.--Victoria and Albert and their young family. The fashions selected by Victoria for their young brood had an enormous and enduring impact on children's fashions for generations.

Trends in boys clothes have of course been influenced by a variety of social trends. Manu of these trends are touched upon in the chronological pages, but I thought it might be a good idea to synthesize this information and highlight major developments for major historical eras:
