We are not sure about the company inolved here. It was dated at 1930. We cannot confitm that, but it looks about right. The ad shos some of the bright ptterns worn in the late-1920s and 30s. Unfortunely i is a low-qulity image and the ad copy is difficult to read. Knickers were still very common in the 1930s.They were wrn wih long stockings (1910s-20s). In the late-1920s we begin to shift to knee socks. And in shart contrast to stockings, the knee socks suddenly appoeared in brigh patterns. Both boys and girls wore them, but they seem most popular with the boys. We are not sure why this occurred. At the time is was rare to see boys wear knickers wihout long stockings or knee socks.
