1940

An American reader tells us, "I have a boys sailor suit that was mine when I was 2yrs old in 1940. It has 3 inverted chevrons on the left sleeve (red) with 1 inverted rocker above the chevrons and a wheel between the chevrons and the rocker. There is a white eagle perched on the top of the inverted rocker. There are 3 white stripes that are on the collar. and also at the cuff of both sleeves. The chest pocket is piped with red and with red piping across the chest. The label has been removed. "
