Individual German Schools: Blender School (1940s)

Figure 1.--Here we have another photo taken at Blender school. This one in the 1940s. This is a class of 10 pupils, three girls and seven boys. They are standing with their school bags on their shoulders. The girls wear dresses and are shod. Three boys are also shod and four barefoot. Four boys wear H-bar short pants. A boy wears lederhosen as only garment (he is barefoot and shirtless). That was quite common in summertime. Sometimes we note this also at school.

Many are standing with their school bags on their shoulders. The girls wear dresses and are shod. Three boys are also shod and four barefoot. The boys are dressed almost as if there was a uniform. Four boys wear H-bar short pants. A boy wears lederhosen as only garment (he is barefoot and shirtless). That was quite common in summertime. Sometimes we note this also at school. Only one boy is wearing socks.
