Here we see the Ferrybank Boys' National School in November, 1928. It looks like a standard state primary school. A National School is a scool paid for by the state, but has aocal sponsor and governing body. The Ferrybank school was located in Waterford. One of Ireland's oldest cities, Waterford has a history of continuous habitation since 914, when the Vikings established a settlement there.
