Les Poppys: Individual Boys--Philippe Sellier

Figure 1.-- Here Philippe Sellier sings a solo with Les Poppys in 1973.

The little smilling boy only sitting in the Bavarian photograph sitting in the second row (his left leg is near right arm of the girl), is Philippe Sellier who was 9 years old at the time. His nick name was "Coucou"). He was in the first group of Les Poppys. His brother Thierry also participated. Philippe became Les Poppys greatest star with his beautuiful solo renditioins. We note another photograph of Philippe a few years later with Les Poppys (figure 1). "Coucou" meant "cuckoo". A reader writes, "He was a good actor, but not a very good singer in fact."
